My poor, sick baby!

Kaidance has been sick for about 4 days now. I feel so bad for her. I can't imagine being so tiny and feeling awful. She is such a trooper, though I know she feels horrible.

It started on Thursday. She had a fever of 100.1 and she was really crabby. I suspected she was getting teeth. She had a clear runny nose and was drooling a lot.

Then through the weekend her nose seemed to be really congested but runny at the same time. She has had a cough and is not eating. I have been worried about her getting dehydrated, but she still seems to be doing okay. She really won't eat much, so I have just been watching her real close. Each night I think I might take her into see a doc in the morning, but I just keep watching her. We have been giving her Tylenol and Motrin pretty much around the clock. Poor little girl. I even called in sick for work today because she hasn't been able to breath very well, her temp remains elevated and she is not sleeping.

Now, Eric and I are also getting sick. It has really been a rough few days at our home. All I can say is that I hope my little Rooie gets better quick.

Oh, and I think Kaidance officially hates me for sucking out her nostrils with the bulb syringe. She dislikes that thing more than anything in the world. I hope she will one day forgive me!

It is so difficult to have a child not feel well. I just wish there was something more I could do for her. I am just praying that she does not have, or get an ear infection with all of this.

She is the most amazing girl ever! I seriously can't get enough of her. She has so much personality! I just love her little faces she makes.

Recently we had her pictures done and I cannot wait to post some.

Also, at her six month check up a few weeks ago (May 10, 2010) her statistics were as follows:

WEIGHT: 14.44 POUNDS (17%)

HEIGHT: 25.5 INCHES (36%)

HEAD CIRCUMFERENCE: 16.9 INCHES (63%)

Recently she has been getting up on her hands and knees and rocking back and forth. She also pulls herself everywhere with her little arms. She can also pull herself to a standing position, but is VERY unsteady.

Really, she is just AMAZING! I couldn't ask for a better daughter. She is my EVERYTHING!

Ouch!

Today Kaidance had her 6 month doctor's visit. She received 3 shots in her legs! I always hate that! But she did well.
After that I took her and had her ears pierced. Eric is mad at me and will probably hold it against me for the rest of my life. He won't give it up. He keeps telling everyone how I hurt her.
Silly Dad, She looks so cute. Hopefully he will become more accustomed to the new pretty jewelry!

Oh, and she is doing really well since her shots and ears. Not many tears at all! ;)

Can you believe my angel is 6 months old? She turned six months on Sunday and I am having such a difficult time believing it is true. You should see all that she can do. She is amazing.
Some fun facts about my Roo:
She can sit up all by herself.

She is about 14 pounds. (we go to the doc in a week to get the official weight)

She loves rice cereal and just about any fruit. She started to eat really well.

She is a mommy and Daddy's girl. She does not like to be without either of them.

Kaidance does not have any teeth yet.

She loves to eat little pieces of saltine crackers.
She rolls like crazy.

She scoots everywhere, and gets up on her hands and knees and moves.

She loves to dance with dad.

She loves to sing along when anyone sings to her.
She loves to watch the dogs. That is her and her dad's favorite thing to do together, is feed the dogs.

She loves to watch herself in the mirror.
She still loves her tubby time, and has to have tubby time twice a day.
She loves to jump, hence her nick-name, Kaidance Roo, Kangaroo!
She is by far the most wonderful thing to ever happen to me!

Loving this Life!

A Couple of weekends ago my cute little sister and her husband came down to visit. We had such a good time. I really wish they were closer, because they are just some of my favorite people in the whole world.

We went to dinner for Kristin's birthday and had a fun time messing around. The next day we talked all the girls into doing funny pictures. The story goes that we all laughed at my mom, but in reality I think Kristin and I look the funniest! You guys be the judge. The Girls picture is of my mom, my sisters and sister in law. We are so crazy sometimes!

As for Kaidance, she is the best little princess in the world. I have so many pictures I need to post, but I have to download them. Thus, I guess I will have to save that for another time.

She is getting big so fast. She is sitting up on her own now, but loses balance occasionally. She rolls everywhere and talks like crazy. She loves to hear her voice and it is also her mommy's favorite. She loves bath time and eating her toes. Kaidance also has a very high pitched voice and it makes me giggle. I named her Rooie. I call her this because she is like a kangaroo, she jumps all the time. She always has to be moving. So, I call her Kaidance Roo, Kangaroo. It is her new name, and I think it has stuck!
