Nervous!

Today the first year LPN students had their orientation day. I was able to get off work at eight-thirty, thus I was able to make it to Bridgerland by nine. I think I was just as nervous as all the students. We all introduced ourselves and had a little breakfast. It was so nice to actually see the faces I am going to be working with. I remember like it was yesterday, the day I started that same program, in the same classroom, in 2004. I truly loved the LPN program at Bridgerland, and I hope they all love it too. I am so excited to teach them and hopefully enable them to become the best nurses possible.
I am so thankful that Logan has Bridgerland to teach nursing school. It is seriously the best nursing school. I loved my time there and I wouldn't trade it for the world. Lisa Moon is the director there, and she has sure made that place the best around. I would recommend that program to anyone and everyone!
Here's to a great semester!!!

New Job!

No, I am not quitting work in the ICU. But, as I have mentioned in post before, I would really like to do nursing education. I am going back to school in August and starting the Master's program in Nursing education at Weber.
So, I had an interview at Bridgerland for a clinical instructor for the LPN program. I was offered the job today, and I could not refuse it. I am so excited for this job opportunity. I know it is going to open so many doors for my career. I have mentioned that my long term goals were to teach nursing school at Bridgerland, and this is just my wonderful begining!
I love being a nurse in the ICU, but I also have been wanting to teach nursing for awhile.
I am so happy to be doing this. I will only work doing clinicals with the LPN students one day a week. I am going to continue to work in the ICU full time, I couldn't give that up. I know I am going to be a busy girl, but I know it will all be worth it.

Our amazing 6 year anniversary.

Eric, with beautiful Tony Grove in the background.
Isn't it so amazing?

We had such a good time.

Eric is so handsome.

The dragon flys were so bright.

Me playing pinball.

Me playing pool.

Us playing cards that night, you can tell I am sleepy.

Breakfast the next morning.

Eric playing some pool in our room.

Us at the church the next evening.
So, as I recently mentioned, it was our six year anniversary on the 19th. We had the best time, just being together. I am sure happy I am able to have such a wonderful man in my life. I don't really know what I did to deserve this handy man, but I will never complain. Eric can do anything. If he doesn't know how to do something, he will surely find out, and do it. I just love having him in my life. I could go on and on, but I am sure all of you have heard it from me before. I am just the luckiest girl alive.
So, for our anniversary, we decided to go up to Tony Grove. We were engaged there in 2002. It was such an amazing day then, and that place is as beautiful as ever. We just walked around the lake and talked. We sure took a long time to walk and ponder our great lives. I loved the how beautiful everything looked. We took a lot of pictures and really enjoyed ourselves. There were a lot of people there, but it really seemed like we were in our own little world. We reminisced about our engagement and the things that have changed and the things that have stayed the same.
After that we headed down to my parents for a wonderful lunch/dinner. It is our favorite thing to eat, so we couldn't miss that, even if it was our anniversary.
So, after eating we headed to the anniversary inn. We stayed in the Biker's Roadhouse. It is one of the new rooms there, and let me tell you it is astonishing. We had so much fun playing pool and pinball, you would have thought we were two kids. We laughed and played cards until 2 in the morning. We loved just being there together and making it "our" time. There is nothing like being in love, and I was able to realize that over and over again.
The next day we had the best massages in the world, right next to one another. The two ladies were the best. I even got to lay on my stomach, which was the best part. HAHA.
Later we had to check out, and we headed home. We then went and got our wedding movies. We had one made for the reception and on of the actual day. It was so fun to see everyone and how things had changed. I loved reliving that day. I can't believe it has been six years.
After we had done all of that we decided to go get a cake and sparking cider and head down to the church we were married at. We went there and ate cake and drank cider. It was the most beautiful thing we have done. We talked about our wedding day and all the things that happened. I would say, do you remember . . . and then Eric would say, yes, and do you remember. . . . It was the best.
I am just so blessed to have this wonderful man in my life. I love you, Eric, so much. Thanks for the wonderful six years, and the many more to come. I can't wait to start our little family with you.

On another note, the baby has been moving like crazy. It is moving more and more. I think I have really messed up our babe's sleeping schedule. It wakes me up every morning at one-thirty. I guess that is my fault because that is the time I wake -up to go to work. I feel so guilty. But, I guess there is nothing I can do to change it. We love to watch our babe move, and I think I have made it my favorite past time. I will lye down on the couch and just watch my abdomen move. Also, I feel guilty if I am at work and I cannot pay much attention to he/she moving. I feel like that is our time together. I sure miss the movement when the baby is sleeping. Is that normal????? Well, I am so excited to be pregnant, and I want to stay this way forever. I feel like it is getting closer and I don't want it to end. I know I may change as I get further and further along, but I sure love being pregnant.
I am having a very difficult time not buying clothes lately. I have spent a lot on clothes and I can't stop myself. I will buy a cute boy outfit, so I have to buy a cute girl one, and it just won't stop. I think I have a problem. But, I guess I only have about 15 more weeks to be crazy, right?
Eric and I are just so blessed to have this opportunity in our lives and we can't get enough of it.

Six Amazing Years!

Today is our six year wedding anniversary. I cannot believe it has been that long. I am more in love with Eric now than the day we meant. I love how we have grown together and we make one-another stronger and better people. I also feel that we complete each other. I am so in love. I never thought being married and in love would be so amazing. I am blessed beyond words to have Eric in my life. Can you believe that we were so young when we made such a huge commitment? I know it is what God meant for us. I have never doubted that for a minute.
We, are off to celebrate, but I will post some pictures of the day later.
I love you Eric! Happy six years! Thanks for the wonderful times, and I look forward to 80 more years, haha!

Eric and Kyler on the boat.

For Eric's birthday we decided to keep it pretty simple. We had the best time just being together and enjoying our time we had with one another. His birthday was on Saturday. We went up to the Narrows and met up with our good friends up there. They were all staying up there and they had their boat. So, we hung out and went on their boat for a little bit.

After boating we came home and got ready and went out to eat at Hamilton's. It was great. We hadn't been there in a year so, it was nice to do something a little different. After dinner, we were able to head home and play cards with Eric's family. It was fun, but it sure made for a late night.

On Sunday, Eric went golfing with his friend and my dad. They had a good time, and he even got my dad home in time for church. HAHA.

That night we had cake and ice cream with all our family. It was such a good time. Eric's grandma is here from Colorado, and it is so nice to be able to spend time with her. We don't get to see her too often, so it has really been nice. She will be here for the whole month of July, so we are blessed to be able to have some time with her.

I hope everyone is having a great summer! We are sure trying to make it a good one.

Baby Milestone!

Yesterday our little baby Britt was sure on the move. I have never felt the baby move that much in one day. It was so fun. I just layed on the couch and enjoyed it. Eric was finally able to feel the baby move. I always felt so bad because I would tell him to touch my stomach and then the baby wouldn't move again, so he was feeling a little sad. But, this time he was really able to feel this little one move. It was the best day! I truly love being able to feel the baby move around. Having the baby move is something I honestly look forward to.
Well, I just wanted to post about this milestone in our baby world!
Oh, and today is my good friend, Heather's Birthday! Happy Birthday Heather! I can't believe how old we are getting, I swear we just barely graduated from high school. But, look at us now! I love you Heather! Thanks for being such a great friend!

The beautiful Falls.

This one is my favorite. I love the Rainbow.

My parents, Kylie, us and the dogs.

A lot of us at the falls.

For the fourth of July, Eric and I were able to go up to see my sister Kristin and her husband, Jess, in Twin Falls. I had to work the 3rd, but we left as soon as I got off work and drove up there. It was a fun drive, and well worth it. We stayed with my parents in their camper in Twin. It was such an amazing experience. We were able to go swimming, play horseshoes and use pedal boats. WE played card games and ate good food. My other sister Kimmie and her husband Paul had already came up on Thursday. They stayed with Kristin, but we all stayed together during the days.
On the fourth all the boys went golfing and all the girls went shopping. My sisters and my mom and I bought a lot of baby blanket material and I am way excited to get started on making some cute blankets.

That night we went to the fireworks and played cards on the blankets until the fireworks started.
On Sunday we went to Shoshone falls. It was the most beautiful falls I had ever seen. It was one of the best vacations we had ever taken because we actually got to take our dogs with us. The dogs rode up with my parents in the back of my dads truck because he has a shell on his truck bed.
The trip was fast, but it was so good to spend some time away and be with my family. I just love doing things like this.
Just in case any of you are wondering, I am getting a large baby belly. It is fun to see how much I am growing, but crazy at the same time. I love being able to carry this baby. I am getting more and more excited every day. Right now I am feeling amazing. I feel as if I get extra hot, extra fast these days, but other than that I am doing wonderful. We are almost 23 weeks and I can't be happier.
I hope everyone had a wonderful fourth of July. I hope you all got to celebrate in some way with the ones you love. I am proud to live in America, and I feel blessed to be able to say I am American.
